University Research Co., LLC (URC), a US-based public health consulting firm, invites applications for the below positions for its TB CARE II Project in Bangladesh. Funded by USAID, TB CARE lI Bangladesh is a 5-year technical assistance project that assists National Tuberculosis Control Programme (NTP), implementing partner NGOs, and other stakeholders to strengthen TB control and prevention activities in Bangladesh.
Program Specialist, MDR-TB: The Program Specialist, MDR-TB, is responsible for overall planning, managing and coordination of MDR-TB and Infection Control activities. The applicant should have proven experience in planning and managing TB and MDR-TB programs. A medical degree is required and an advanced degree in public health is preferred. The applicant is required to have working experience in a TB control program.
Program Specialist, M&E: The Program Specialist, M&E, will take the lead in monitoring and evaluation activities of the project. The applicant should have at least three years experience in M&E. A medical degree and/or Masters in Statistics/Masters in Social Science is required. Prior experience in TB programs is preferred.
Technical Director: The Technical Director will provide strategic and technical support to the Team Leader and to the TB CARE II Bangladesh Project overall. The Technical Director will provide professional and technical input in developing annual work plans, identifying Technical Assistance needs, and providing management support to timely implementation of planned activities. A medical degree and prior clinical and programmatic management of TB and MDRTB is required.
Senior Technical Advisor, Lab Support: The Senior Technical Advisor, Lab Support, is responsible for managing and coordinating all laboratory activities of the project. A high level of expertise in current and new lab technologies is required, as well as a Masters degree in a relevant field.
Regional Coordinator (3 positions: 1 each in Rangpur, Sylhet and Barisal region): The Regional Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating, facilitating and monitoring and supervising field level activities planned for implementation through GOB and NGO sub-grantees. He/she will be placed in the office of respective Divisional Director, A Masters in any discipline and minimum of 3 years working experience as a midlevel supervisor in TB Control Program is required.
Program Officer, Paediatric TB: The Program Officer, Paediatric TB, will assist in planning, implementing and coordinating activities related to paediatric TB. A medical degree is required in addition to at leasts years working experience in TB and paediatric TB.
Program Officer, Training: The Program Officer, Training, will be responsible for managing and coordinating project training activities. Knowledge and experience in organizing training and developing training curriculum is preferred. A medical degree and/or Masters in a relevant field is required. Prior experience in TB control program is required.
Program Officer, ACSM: The Program Officer, ACSM, will be responsible for managing and coordinating the project ACSM components and will play an important role in educating and creating awareness about TB in communities. A medical degree and/or Masters in health education or public health is preferred. Prior experience in TB control program is preferred.
MIS Officer (1 position): The MIS Officer will be responsible for supporting the Management information System of the TB CARE II Bangladesh project. A Masters degree in statistics or equivalent is required.
Administrative Assistant (2 positions): The Administrative Assistant will provide general administrative and logistical support to the TB CARE II Bangladesh Project and URC as needed to support planning and implementing project activities. A Bachelors degree is required for this position; candidates with a Masters degree are preferred.
Office Assistant (1 position): The Office Assistant will provide support to the admin team in terms of logistical support and related activities of office management. A higher secondary school certificate is the minimum requirement.
District Expansion Coordinator (3 positions: 1 each in Narayanganj, Gazipur & Chittagong): Based at the district level, the District Expansion Coordinator will work with the district level government and NGO managers. A medical degree and/or Masters in Social Science (MSS) or equivalent is required.
All positions require excellent proficiency in written and spoken English and Bangla. Computer literacy is required.
