Deputy Manager - Human Resources Development (01 position based in Dhaka)

This position is responsible for organizing, coordinating and implementing agency-wide capacity building initiatives in line with Save the Children strategies and policies and HR department's mandate. Developing and implementing SC annual training calendar, providing orientation to new staff, sourcing best resources and reporting are some of the key responsibilities of this position. S/he will work closely with the SC partner organizations and build their capacity on HR system building and will monitor progress. This position is usually called in Save the Children as DM- Learning & Development.

Requirements: MBA in HR or Master degree in a relevant subject with certificate(s) on advanced TOT, 6 years of hands-on experience in designing, organizing and facilitating training programs, conducting TNA, identifying training resources and monitoring and evaluating results are some essential requirements. First-rate presentation skills, inter-personal skills, communication skills both in. written and spoken English, proficiency in computer especially, in MS Word, Excel and Power point are also pre-requisites. Bangla typing skills and willingness to frequent field visit are some other requirements.

Post : Director of Finance & Administration
The Director of Finance and Administration is based in Dhaka and reports directly to the Country Director. This position is a member of the country office Senior Management Team, and is responsible for ensuring effective operation of the country office Finance and Administration Sector, including finance and budget, administration, transport, IT communications and compliance with local laws and contractual obligations. Major key responsibilities include providing strategic leadership to Budget management, Financial management including reporting. General Administration and ICT management, ensuring policies and standards are in place and Bangladesh country office comply with Save the Children, donor and Government regulations, monitoring performance of sub-offices etc. S/he will closely work with the Program Team to develop budget during proposal development and assist developing the country office strategic and annual planning process, act as the key person for all communications with regional office and head office related to financial and administrative matters and represent Save the Children where necessary.

Requirements:
At least 10 years relevant experience, of which 5 years at a senior management level within the finance and administration department of an international organization, University degree in finance or business administration or equivalent, additional professional certificates like FCMA/FCA/CPA, hands on experience on managing large portfolio, working with multi donors, extensive experience of budgeting, financial systems and procedures, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage a complex and diverse workload and to work to tight deadlines, written and verbal fluency in English.

Post : Financial Controller
The primary function of the Financial Controller is to ensure Bangladesh Country Office compliance with Save the Children's accounting policy, donor requirements and generally accepted accounting principles through the development and supervision of CO financial policies and procedures, ensure that accurate, complete and reliable financial information is maintained in the CO financial system and an effective and efficient control of CO assets and cash flow to minimize receivables and currency revaluation losses, ensure preparation of Country Office master budget, prepare periodic reports on the status of country office budget highlighting changes and variances and manage the Country Office financial systems. The position is based in Dhaka.

Requirements:
At least 10 years relevant experience, of which 5 years at a management level within the finance department of an international organization, MBA/M.Com/equivalent, CPA or equivalent combination of other professional qualification in accounting/finance, extensive experience of budgeting, financial systems and procedures, ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections, a high level of written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, proven experience of computer use (MS-Word & MS-Excel), preferably with accounting package.

Job Opening of Save the Children

Save the Children invites applications for the following position Manager-Monitoring & Evaluation (01 position based in Dhaka)

The Manager-M&E is responsible for managing the M&E functions of the Nobo Jibon program, which is a USAID-funded food security and livelihoods initiative running from 2010-2015 and covering 10 apazilas in the Barisal Division. Major responsibilities include but are not limited to: ensuring an efficient and effective M&E system throughout the program, leading quantitative and qualitative data collection, contributing to strategies for program evaluation, and strengthening the capacity of Nobo Jibon team members including from implementing partners, in application of M&E tools and methods. The incumbent is also responsible for preparing program monitoring reports and sharing it with the program staff regularly, translating M&E information into information useful for management decision-making. S/he provides assistance to the Chief of Party to prepare monthly and annual reports for the donor and other end-users.

Requirements: Masters Degree in Statistics/Social Science with at least 6 years of working experience in relevant field especially in M&E of food security, nutrition and/or livelihoods program of which at least 3 years in managerial/supervisory positions The incumbent must have a clear concept on developing M&E system, data collection and management, data analysis, documentation and dissemination, computer proficiency in MS. Ward, Excel, PowerPoint and appropriate data analysis package (MS Access SPSS etc), excellent communication skills both in English and Bangla especially in the writing off analytical reports. Minimum 40% field visit is required.

Senior Manager and Manager in Save the Children International

Save the Children is the World’s leading, independent organisation for children. Save the Children International invites applications for the following positions:

Senior Manager - Community School Activity (CSA) - PROTEEVA (01 position based in Dhaka/Rajshahi)

PROTEEVA - USAID supported program aims to improve early childhood development and school readiness, strengthen early primary outcomes for children and engage communities, professionals as well as national level leaders to promote change in education system.

The Senior Manager - CSA including Qwami Madrasas will be responsible for overall leadership and overseeing technical and management aspects of CSA. The CSA will be implemented by PROTEEVA in partnership with other NGOs in the Rajshahi division of Bangladesh and concentrate on activities such as establishing pre-primary schools, provide training to madrasa leaders and teachers in light of existing curriculum, introducing afterschool learning opportunities for children, establishing libraries for children, building capacity of local govt. representatives and Govt. officials related to community schools. The Senior Manager - CSA will keep close liaison with PROTEEVA central team and partner NGOs, school teachers, leaders and all stakeholders.

Requirements: Masters degree in social science/education. Minimum 8 years of working experience in managing pre-primary/primary education programs focused on community based education and teacher training; strong representational skills. Experience in implementation of program activities through partners. Demonstrated skills in program management and staff supervision. Excellent communication skills in both English and Bangla is preferred.

Manager-Child Rights Governance (CRG) Advocacy and Media (01 position based in Dhaka)
Child Rights Governance (CRG) is a thematic area that works on governance issues related to children's rights. It includes advocacy and work with the media as a major stakeholder to ensure good governance for children's rights in Bangladesh.

The Manager-Child Right Governance Advocacy and Media is responsible for planning and undertaking advocacy in relation to the CRG advocacy agenda creating networks with relevant stakeholders for stronger advocacy related to CRG. Support the partners to develop alternative report on United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Children and Universal Periodic Review report. Advocating for child friendly media policies and attention to children in the Right to Information Act, create network with mainstream print and electronic media, arrange press conferences/ press briefings, prepare and disseminate press releases and monitor media coverage.

Requirements: Masters degree in social science or Communication. At least 6 years of progressively responsible professional work experience of advocacy and Child Rights based approaches and partnership management experience in program management within NGO or INGO. Understanding of governance, rights based/child rights programming. Knowledge & skill to analyze Human Rights & Child Rights situation in the global, national and local level. Should have excellent communication skills. Good in report wilting and proficiency in Information communication technology.
