Admission Requirements:
For M.S.: A Four-Year B.Sc. (Hon's) degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Agriculture or other Medical and Biological Sciences. (Minimum cGPA of 2.5 on 4.0 point scale or Second Class).

For B.Sc. (Hon's): Students having minimum GPA 2.5 in SSC & HSC individually in Science or two A-Levels with "C" grade or equivalent with Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics may apply for admission.

MBA Admission Test (2011-12) of the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka will be held on Friday, July 06, 2012 at 10 am.

ELIGIBILITY
All applicants must have at least a Bachelor Degree in any field of study. The minimum qualifying point is seven (07) for all applicants. The points are calculated as follows:

Applicants, who have taken O-Level examination must have passed at least five (05) subjects (including mathematics) with a minimum of grade D in each of the subjects.

Applicants, who have taken the A-Level examination, must have passed at least two (02) subjects with a minimum of grade D in each of the subjects.

*Letter grades of O - Level and A- Level subjects are converted into grade points as follows: A = 4, B = 3, C = 2 and D = 1. Grade Point Average (GPA) is calculated by averaging the grade points of the best five grades for O-level and the best two grades for A-Level.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
All Bangladeshi applicants musttake the Admission Test Foreign applicants with a minimum percentile of 50 in GMAT may be exempted from the Written Test. However, they will be required to appear for an interview.

The test has two components: Written Assessment and Interview. The written assessment component evaluates applicants' aptitude in  Language, Mathematics, and Analytical ability. An applicant must obtain a minimum qualifying score in each of the above areas to pass of the written test and appear for the interview.

Collection and submission of application forms are to be done by the applicants from June 04, 2012 to July 19, 2012 (except Saturday and Sunday). An applicant will secure 1 (one) more point for each additional recognized academic degree above Master degree, e.g., M.S., M.Phil, and so on. Moreover, an applicant will secure one-tenth (1/10) of his/her total age as an additional point.

For any result published under both the CGPA system and the division-wise system, only the CGPA system will be considered in calculating academic point.

List of primarily selected applicants and the date of viva-voce will be published from August 10-12, 2012 in the Daily Ittefaq.
The number of available seats is 350.

Note for the students of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM): Applicants who have completed the PGDM/GOM program from the School of Business, BOU with at least 2.75 CGPA will get entrance to the 122 (2nd) semester of the MBA program. However, students with CGPA 2.50 to 2.74 will get direct admission into the first semester (121) of the MBA program and those who have CGPA 2.00 to 2.49 in the PGDM/GDM program will get additional 2 (two) points under open competition. In all cases, they have to collect the Application Form and Instructional Materials by paying Tk, 400/- within the specified time.
