Vacancy Announcement in Barakatuilah Electro Dynamics Limited (BEDL)

Barakatuilah Electro Dynamics Limited (BEDL) is a listed public limited power generating company, presently on production with 51MW gas fired power plant at Fenchuganj, Sylhet. A second power station of 50MW 1!FO fired power plant named Baraka Palenga Power Limited at Patcnga, Chittagong is under installation. We require the following personnel for these two power plants. Interested candidates are requested to apply by 18 March 2012:

1. Plant Manager

Educational Qualification: Class-i Marine/' B.Sc. Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or Equivalent. Additional degree on management or jaw and professional membership will be preferred.

Experience Required* Practical experience on IIFO/Gas based reciprocating engine and gen-set operation and maintenance wil! be preferred, a) In case of Class-1 Marine, minimum 10 years practical experience with at least 5 years as Chief Engineer of sea going vessels, b) [n case of B.Sc. Engineers or equivalent minimum 20 years practical experience of which at least 5 years experience in operation, maintenance and management of Power Plants at home or abroad. Preferred candidates should have the skills and capabilities to operate and maintain medium power plant (20MW-50M W) independently and be capable of taking full responsibility for the plant.

2. Deputy Manager (Plant)

Educational Qualification; B.Sc. Engineering in Ekctrical/Mechanical/Marinc.

Experience Required: a) The candidate should have at least 2 years working experience in a power station with capacity not less than 20M W in the rank of not less than Deputy Manager/ Sub-divisional Engineer or equivalent, b) Candidates having at least ID years experience of working in any power station having capacity of not less than 20MW in the rank of Assistant Manager /Maintenance Engineer/ Shift Engineer (as Assistant Engineer) are also qualified for application,

3.  Assistant Engineer & QIC Store (For SOMW Power plant at Fatenga Chittagong) Educational Qualification*. B. Sc. In Mechanical Engineering / Marine Engineering Class II.

Experience Required: At least 5 years experience in a power station with capacity not less than 20MW. Knowledge on power station materials (mechanical and electrical) and experience on management' handling of capital machinery and spare parts of any power plant in the constructioa/instaHaliort phase will be an asset Good command in MS Excel, MS Word and inventory management control software. Preferred candidates should be able to manage/handle capital machineries and spares during the installation of the Power plant He will have to organize the plant store with effective inventory management and control system.

Pay: Attractive salary' will be offered based on the qualification and experience of the candidates.

Age Limit; Maximum 45 years for sl. no. 40 years for sl. no. 2, 35 years for sl. no 3. However it can be relaxed for exceptionally qualified candidates.
