Company Description: The ADB-Bangladesh Resident Mission (BRM) was established to assist its Headquarters in the implementation of projects and programs, in project processing, country programming, and economic and sector work. It also coordinates ADB's activities with other resident diplomatic and donor missions, NGOs, academic institutions, local think tanks, private sector and other members of the civil society.

The advertised position is a local staff position with a local remuneration package. It is open only to persons who are nationals and residents of Bangladesh. The position is for a 3-year fixed term appointment. ADB offers a competitive salary and benefits package applicable to local staff, While the position advertised is for the Bangladesh Resident Mission, ADB staff may be required to serve in any location outside the Resident Mission at the discretion of Management.

Job Description
Description of Responsibilities
To provide administrative and analytical support to the functions of portfolio management and project administration in general.

Reporting Arrangement
Supervisor: Designated International Staff (IS) and senior National Staff (NS).

Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.

Work Experience: At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.

  • Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level
  • Proven ability to work independently on assigned transactions, areas of analysis and research, which have well-defined scope and steps
  • Able to conduct cost-benefit analysis to support decision-making
  • Able to set priorities for self and junior team members
  • Effective report-writing and communication skills in English and the national language (as required)
  • Proficient in spreadsheets and required information technologies.
  • Able to provide guidance to other Administrative Staff on assigned area of work
  • Able to liaise and work effectively with government officials within own work location and with colleagues throughout ADB
  • Able to work collaboratively with teams as a constructive team member.
