Emergency Response Specialist
Based in Dhaka + Consolidated Monthly Salary Tk. 80,000.00 - 100,000.00
Reporting to the Manager - Disaster Risk Management (DRM), you will contribute to the response strategy in cooperation with senior leadership; provide and/or organize training for Plan's GO TEAM members on the fundamentals of humanitarian response in line with international standards and protocols; establish contacts with potential local partners and develop appropriate program responses in line with Plan's disaster risk management strategies; develop contacts to support immediate response through creative means and/or to be better positioned for a direct response; liaise with local government officials, local IMGOs and civil society organizations, local leaders and other community members to ensure support for Plan's activities; lead/participate in rapid assessment as the situation allows; and assist in proposal writing, including participation in needs assessment. For this role, you should have Master's degree preferably in DRM and 3-5 years' experience in managing or coordinating emergency responses.
