PRICE (Poverty Reduction by Increasing Competitiveness of Enterprises) seeks applications from qualified Bangladeshi professionals for positions outlined below. PRICE is a USAlD-funded economic development project in Bangladesh implemented by Chemonics International Inc., an ISO-9001 certified international development company. The goal of PRICE is to help develop Bangladesh's competitiveness in the global market while contributing to pro-poor economic growth, and increase targeted value chain competitiveness in key sectors by: (1) Providing business service center assistance to SMEs and connector firms to increase their sales, employment and investment; & (2) Implementing strategic interventions (e.g. supply chain linkages, pre- and feasibility studies, marketing, standards, training, policy, etc.) to upgrade value chains, improve workforce skills with particular attention to women, youth and social compliance practices. PRICE value chains include horticulture, aquaculture, leather, food & hospitality and support sectors in key locations, and are strengthening interventions in the 20 target districts of USAID's Feed the Future program in the south and south west of Bangladesh.
The positions are:
• Director, Value Chain Development, based in Dhaka. 1 position.
• Manager, Value Chain Development, based in Jessore. 1 position.
• Sector Development Advisor, Horticulture, based in Jessore/Khulna. 1 position.
• Manager, Training & Equity, based in Jessore. 1 position.
• Project Support Officer, based in Dhaka and Jessore. 2 positions.
• Executive Secretary, based in Dhaka. 1 position.
