Strategic Media Advisor (Contract)

Job details
Responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to:
• Develop department strategy; contribute ideas beyond functional role in support of the Communication division
• Formulate and implement specific media strategies that promote a better public understanding of Chevron's activities, initiatives and events, ensuring that Chevron's reputation is protected and enhanced
• Responsible for responding to media inquiries in a timely, professional and accurate manner, and should be particularly skilled and experienced in preparing model Q&As, press-releases, executive speeches and media messages
• Liaise with both national and local level media and prepares a range of communication instruments to ensure a fair, balanced and accurate portrayal of Chevron in the public domain
Qualifications:
Post-graduate, preferably in Journalism and Mass Communication, International Relations, Social Science or Public Administration
• 10-12 years of proven experience in media management (both electronic and printing media)
• Excellent communications skills in both Bengali and English
• Knowledge of the energy sector will be treated as added advantage
• Should be a strong team player with a desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and challenging work environment
Media and Documentation Officer (Contract)

Job details
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
• Research and write communications materials, including press releases, articles and executive messages
• Develop white papers or media briefing packages that explain company business activities
• Interact with other departments in the organization to develop stories and communicate through appropriate channels
• Apply working knowledge of mediums and vehicles for internal communications and expertise in at least two areas {e.g. print, fact-to-face meetings, web-communications) and employ them as appropriate
• Serve as an initial point of contact for media enquiries during emergencies or crisis situations
Qualifications:
Graduate, preferably in Journalism and Mass Communication, International Relations, Environmental science, Social Science, Public Administration or Economics
• 2 - 3 years of proven experience in communications, social research, media management
• Excellent communication skills in both Bengali and English
• Knowledge of the energy sector will be treated as added advantage
• Should be a strong team player with a desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and challenging work environment
