Applications are invited from bonafide Bangladeshi nationals for the post of Research Fellow in the scale of pay Tk. 18500-800-297007- plus other allowances as admissible under existing rules. While BIDS follows public sector salary structure, initial salary depends on individual experiences and qualifications.
The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Economics with at least 2 publications of BDS (Bangladesh Development Studies, a quarterly journal of-BIDS) standard. The candidate must also have a minimum of 2 years research/teaching experience including the period spent in the Ph.D. programme. Candidates with strong background in macroeconomic modeling, trade, fiscal and monetary economics are strongly encouraged to apply. In case of a candidate with distinguished research record, the requirement of a Ph.D. degree may be relaxed.

Do not send your publications or certificates electronically or by post at this stage. Only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit them at a later stage of the selection process. An electronically generated acknowledgement of receipt of the application will be sent by email to the applicant. If the applicant does not receive it in two days after sending his or her application, only then he or she can send the application by post to the Secretary, Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies, E-17, Agargaon, Sher-E-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka-1207.
Candidates already in service should apply through proper channel.
