Database Coordinator Jobs in Chars Livelihoods Programme

The Chars Livelihoods Programme (CLP) is a poverty alleviation programme jointly funded by UKaid through the Department for International Development (DFID) and the Australian Government (AusAID). The ProProgramme which work in the north-western districts is inviting applications from experienced and qualified individuals for the position of Database Coordinator (DBC).

The Database Coordinator will work in the M&E Unit of the Innovation, Monitoring & Learning (IML) Division. One of the primary functions of the M&E Unit is to collect, analyze and disseminate quality data which illustrates what works (and what doesn't work) and that can demonstrate the extent to which the Programme is having an impact on the CLP's intended target groups. The DBC will be responsible for the following:

•  Managing the CLP's output monitoring and reporting process;
•  Developing and managing databases;
•  Designing data entry software and undertaking statistical analyses;
•  Supporting and mentoring Young Professionals;
•  Assisting in the management and supervision of staff involved in data collection activities;
•  Coordinating    data     collection     activities     of implementing organisations;
•  Managing and ensuring quality of data collection activities.

Requirements
Candidates must have the following qualifications: » Minimum a Masters' degree in Statistics/ Economics/ Development Studies or any other related discipline:

•  Minimum 3 years experience in MIS development and implementation;
•  A solid understanding of the software packages: Access, Excel, SPSS, PowerPoint;
•  Demonstrable experience in database management and data analysis (with the ability to produce output tables and graphs);
•  Experience of managing data collection teams using a range of qualitative and quantitative approaches;
•  Excellent communications skills;
•  Fluency in written and spoken English and Bangla.

This is a grade 4 (Taka 40,000 - 76,640) depending on the qualifications, experience and immediate past salary of the selected candidate. It is a head office based position (Bogra) with extensive travel to the field.
