UNDP Jobs in UKaid from the Department for International Development


The Urban Partnerships for Poverty Reduction Programme (UPPR) is the largest urban poverty reduction initiative in Bangladesh, and one of the largest in the world. The programme aims to improve the living conditions and livelihoods of three million urban poor and extreme poor, especially women and girls, in thirty cities and towns by 2015. To achieve this, the programme adopts a community-led approach to improving settlements and socioeconomic conditions in urban poor communities, fosters linkages and partnerships between urban poor communities and local service providers and advocates for pro-urban poor policy development.

With additional support of UK AID, UPPR has integrated Direct Nutrition Intervention for the extreme urban poor in its project design. The implementation of direct nutrition will start soon for raising awareness, providing nutrition supplements and building institutional capacity of the community organizations and other stakeholders for strengthening and sustaining program impact. UPPR invites applications from highly qualified and experienced development professionals for the following positions:
